The music of Mosaic Minds is more than just the result of four accomplished musicians playing their own original style of Rock/Pop. What sets this band apart from others is the positive energy that emerges from a place deeper than musicianship alone. It is Mosaic Minds' emotional energy and vibration that causes its audience to hear and feel what they may rarely experience elsewhere.

Julie Pham has been involved with music all her life. Her first stage experience was the lead part in her school musical at age 9, and she has been performing music ever since. Her fascination with music later led her to the classical piano world, which she studied and competed in for 5 years. Julie was born and raised in Oklahoma City, where she is very well known as a vocal performer among the Vietnamese community. She possesses a nice wide vocal range and has sung with many bands over the years. She has performed the National Anthem at various functions with audiences including the Lieutenant Governor of Oklahoma as well as different state representatives and city mayors.

Self-taught in the beginning, Ruben Soto's range of influences include Hendrix, SRV, Santana, Satriani and others. He later went on to study classical guitar with Tom Johnson and jazz guitar with Jack Peterson at the University of North Texas in Denton. Ruben is a veteran of many bands in the Dallas original music scene, as well as having been a performer in the Blues, Soul/R&B, and acoustic coffee house circuits.

Starting out as a temp member of Mosaic Minds, Jeff Miles is a self-taught guitar player at heart and adds a strong melodic groove to many of the band's songs. Jeff is regarded as one of Dallas' most talented bass players and can often be found using his talents behind the scenes as co-owner of the recording studio, Miles of Sound.

"I've run the Open Mic at Club Dada for the past twelve or thirteen years. During that time, I've probably seen between three and five thousand acts. Working the Open Mic is a lot like sitting on the edge of a riverbank panning for gold. More-often-than-not you get a lot of mud and rock- and a bad back to boot. But every once in a long while, you'll look down to find a gem shimmering and glimmering back at you. "Mosaic Minds" is one of those rare enigmatic rewards."
